J Sargent Reynolds Community College partners with Charterhouse School for a program called Courage to Succeed. From the program brochure:
Courage to Succeed is developed by a partnership between Charterhouse School and Commonwealth Autism Service to provide academic, social, and independent life skill supports to students with Asperger’s syndrome and high-functioning autism. Students will begin and end the day at Charterhouse School, located in the center of Richmond, and attend classes at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community
College (JSRCC). Courage to Succeed provides year-round programming for students. Students will attend classes at JSRCC, including career and technical
education courses. In addition, students will have a curriculum of social and independent living skills provided by Charterhouse School at the end of each academic day. The services provided by Charterhouse School will also include group
counseling focusing on self-advocacy.
